Save the Date: The Sheep & Wool Festival returns to Coggeshall Farm Museum on May 16, 2026!
Learn about and see demonstrations of sheep shearing, wool processing, dyeing, weaving, and spinning. Shop with vendors and artisans from RI and New England. Visit with the farm’s sheep and see the visiting animals that provide us with the fiber for our craft. Pre-registration is HIGHLY recommended, and tickets may sell out. Rain or Shine!

Know Before You Go
Getting to the Sheep & Wool Festival:
From the North:
Follow Rt. 114/Hope Street south to Poppasquash Road in Bristol, Rhode Island. Do not turn into Colt State Park on Asylum Road; you cannot access the Festival directly from the Park. Follow Poppasquash Road to Coggeshall Farm Road.
From the South:
Follow Rt. 114/Hope Street north and turn left on Poppasquash Road in Bristol, Rhode Island. Follow Poppasquash Road to Coggeshall Farm Road.
If you are using a GPS, please use “Coggeshall Farm Museum” instead of our address. On the day of the festival, there will be signage and a police officer directing traffic. View Map.
Coming with friends? Consider carpooling!
Important Note: The Farm is only accessible from Poppasquash Road. Following GPS directions to our address of 1 Colt Drive may direct you to the wrong entrance.
What to Bring:
- Printed tickets (if possible): We expect this event to be a sell-out, and printed tickets will help expedite your entry to the festival. If printing is not an option, you may show your ticket(s) on your phone as well.
- Clothing appropriate for the weather and for walking: The Sheep & Wool Festival is rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear shoes that are comfortable for walking on multiple terrains. If it is sunny, you may want to bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
- Bug repellent: With our natural landscape and the salt marsh, bug repellent is always a good thing to have in your bag when visiting.
- Cash for shopping, food, and raffles: While many vendors do accept credit cards, plan to bring some cash as well! With more than 50 vendors, several food trucks, and a raffle, cash will come in handy. There is no ATM on-site, so plan ahead!
Please note: The Farm is on state land and is a smoke-free and vape-free site. No alcohol, drugs/drug paraphernalia, or weapons are allowed.
