Coggeshall Farm Museum in Bristol, RI
Come out for a fun fall day on the farm to see a visiting oxen team at work plowing the fields. Jim and Bev Gould’s team of Old Ayrshire oxen, Ned and Buster, will be at the farm again to demonstrate plowing areas in our fields. Plowing is a crucial step to closing out the 2023 farm season and preparing for new growth in 2024. Watch the pair hard at work and have all of your oxen questions answered! A set of young oxen-in-training, Cracker and Jack, will also be joining us!
Be sure to also visit our garden to see what the fall harvest brings. Guests can also meet our sheep, pigs, and chickens, play simple games, explore nature trails, and more. Don’t miss out on a beautiful fall visit to the farm!
