Coggeshall Farm Museum in Bristol, RI

Jim and Bev Gould were excited to come with their oxen, Ned and Buster, this weekend, but due to a sudden family illness, they are unable to make it. We will plan to reschedule Oxen Weekend, but have no further details on that front at this time.

If you pre-registered for Oxen Weekend, you are still welcome to visit the Farm; We will be open! You can also hold your tickets and use them any other day that Coggeshall Farm Museum is open for standard daytime admission. If you would like a refund, please email with your order number, and we will take care of your request as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We wish the Gould family all the best, and look forward to planning more oxen programming with them in the future.

Come to Coggeshall Farm Museum and experience what life was like on an 18th-century farm, complete with a pair of visiting oxen!  Jim and Bev Gould will be spending the weekend at the farm with their Old Ayrshire oxen, Ned and Buster. Together, they will demonstrate some of the tasks that oxen and their teamsters would have tended to on the farm in the 1790s.  Watch the pair hard at work and have all of your oxen questions answered!

Guests can also meet our sheep, pigs, and chickens, play simple games, explore our nature trail, and more.

Oxen weekend is included with standard daytime admission, $10 for adults and $5 for youth ages 4-17 (children under 4 are free).
