Sensational Seeds (Ages 7 – 9) | Sign Up
Head into the garden to harvest the bounty of the season: lettuce, squash, beans, and corn. Take a close look inside the fruits and pull out the seeds for closer inspection. Learn about the ways seeds travel to arrive at new planting sites. We will finish the program by feeding the seeds and leftover produce to our farm chickens and pigs.
Rope Making (Ages 10+) | Sign Up
Unwind the mysteries of winding. Today we will learn how to fuse small, weak pieces of string into strong, reliable ropes, like the ones farmers used 200 years ago. Whether they were lifting items into the hayloft or tying a load onto a donkey, they needed cables they could trust. Let’s give this ancient craft a twirl.
