Times: Coggeshall Farm Museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m

Get TicketsJoin the Coggeshall staff as we prepare a Thanksgiving meal over the hearth in our historic farmhouse. The late 18th century was before the official start of Thanksgiving as a national holiday but the day was still celebrated with food and prayer in New England. Throughout the day you can:
- Watch our costumed historians make chicken on a string, bake a pie in the hot coals, mash turnips and churn butter.
- See historic demonstrations of how spoons were carved.
- Explore the garden to see the last of the fall harvest.
- Walk the nature trail and look for signs of wild turkey.
- See musket demonstrations and try your aim with rubber band targets.
Please note: This is not a Thanksgiving meal for visitors to eat. Food prepared in the historic Farmhouse Kitchen does not meet modern health and food preparation codes for public consumption.
