Cart Shed/Wood Shop

Built by Coggeshall Farm Museum in the 1980s

The Cart Shed has served numerous purposes over the years, including as a storage space for a cart and for tools related to the field, farm, and cart maintenance. The Wood Shop houses all of the historic woodworking tools on the farm.  There is an 18th-century wooden lathe, hand drills augers, planers, and cutting and splitting tools.  Costumed interpreters can often be found in the woodshop during open hours demonstrating woodworking projects.
