A Historic Merger
In January 2020, Old Sturbridge Village and Coggeshall Farm Museum began an innovative new partnership. In July 2025, Old Sturbridge Village and Coggeshall Farm Museum merged, and Old Sturbridge Village now provides leadership and manages the daily operations of Coggeshall Farm.
Coggeshall Farm Museum remains committed to interpreting early New England life on a marsh farm in southeastern New England. The merger of the two museums creates a regional coalition of committed volunteers and staff dedicated to ensuring that living history thrives in New England. It creates the opportunity to take our models to scale – and to think bigger and broader about the role of public history in the everyday lives of our citizens.
